5. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

For visitors from the UK or EU, we rely on the following legal bases: consent (for analytics and marketing cookies and email marketing); legitimate interests (for analytics, fraud prevention and improving the Site); and legal obligation (for compliance with applicable law).

6. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

  • Service providers: Email delivery platforms, web hosting providers, analytics tools and customer support software that process data on our behalf under data processing agreements.
  • Partner platforms: If you click through to a partner and register, that partner will collect and process your information under their own privacy policy. We encourage you to read their policies before registering.
  • Legal authorities: Where required by law, court order or regulatory authority, we may disclose information to New Zealand Police, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner, or equivalent overseas authorities.

Enquiry records are retained for 3 years. Analytics data is retained in anonymised or aggregated form for up to 26 months. Server logs are retained for 90 days.

8. Your Rights

Under New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020 and, where applicable, the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you

To exercise any of these rights, contact our Privacy Officer at [email protected]. We will respond within 20 working days.

9. International Data Transfers

Our analytics and email marketing providers may process data outside New Zealand. Where data is transferred to countries without adequate privacy protections, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (such as Standard Contractual Clauses for EU/UK transfers).
